Question of the week: Where can I find resources to help the single parents in my church during Christmas break?

Many times those of us that work in ministry hurt for the hurting. We want to help but just aren’t sure how to help. What can you say to make the situation better for a divorcing family?

  • Sometimes it is best not to say anything but just give them a big hug.
  • Sometimes they need someone to listen to them.
  • Sometimes they just need to know that you are praying for them.
  • Sometimes they are lost in their grief and want to be left alone.

It all depends on the individual and their situation. That makes it very hard to know how to minister.

Here are some resources that come from our Surviving the Holidays website. Feel free to print these and give to the single parents in your church.
